Today, the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Affairs met with the participants of an international conference organized by the Union of Christian Baptist Churches of Georgia.

The meeting was attended by Gia Kandelaki - Union of Georgian Baptist Churches of Georgia, Nikolai Voziani - Republic of Moldova, Igor Bandura - Ukraine, Eric Tammy - Estonia, Rima Tammy - Estonia, Asatur Nagabekiani - Republic of Armenia, Bulgaria - Armenia, Shishkin - Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Miskevich - the Russian Federation.

The guests were interested in the activities of religious organizations in Georgia. The Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues introduced them with the basic principles of the Agency's activities and spoke about the policy pursued by the state towards religious organizations; Specifically: cooperation on state-funded confessions, inter-religious consultations, and the Agency's conference - Interreligious Dialogue for Peace.

The head of the agency conveyed to the guest's video material depicting the cult buildings on the occupied territories of Georgia, noting that besides seizing territories, which is our great pain, the right of Georgian Orthodox believers in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali is violated and deliberate destruction of the Georgian footprint.

Zaza Vashakmadze presented the guests with a photo album "Religions in Georgia" and other memorable gifts, noting that the Union of Christian Baptist Churches of Georgia is a religious organization that contributes to the development of a tolerant environment in Georgia.
