Today at the Administration of the Government of Georgia the State Agency of Religious Issues held a training “Raising Awareness of the Clergy on Freedom of Religion, Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms”.
The chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze met with The Senior Advisor of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Dava Katz and the representatives of this organization in Georgia Tamar Sirbiladze and Giorgi Khechinashvili at the Administration of the Government

Today the Chairman of the State Agency of Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze met with Vatican Ambassador Archbishop Jose A.Bettencourt. The meeting was attended by Fr. Mihaita Blaj Secretary of the Apostolic Nunciature in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Nino Chavchavadze and Sergo Parulava.

On June 14, 2018, Zaza Vashakmadze, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues and the representatives of the agency met with the chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora Fuad R.Muradov and the accompanying delegation visiting Georgia.
Dedicated to Ramazan Bayram and in honor of the Muslim community of Georgia the "Iftari" (evening meal) was held by Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili. The event has become a tradition and is held once a year.
