On the 13th of December the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria, Desislava Ivanova. The chairman and the Ambassador talked about religious policy in Georgia and Bulgaria and about those common challenges facing both Orthodox countries.

After the prayer, Zaza Vashakmadze condemned the fact of robbery of the synagogue and said the state would do its best to investigate this incident. At the Conference Hall of the Hotel Ambassadori a hearing of the report 2016 of the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia was held.
The event was attended by Muslim clerics, chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze, representatives of the embassies of Muslim countries and public figures.

State Agency for Religious Issues and Georgian Branch of FriedensBote Mission visited St. Ambrosi Khelaia School at the village of Salkhino, Martvili region and provided the schoolchildren with necessary humanitarian assistance, 2 tons of clothing.

Today on the 28th of November at the Administration of the Government of Georgia the next session of the “Recommendatory Commission on Financial and Property Issues of the Religious Organizations” under the State Agency for Religious Issues was held. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Armenian Apostolic Church, Muslim community and Jewish community.
On the 24th of November, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria to Georgia Arad Benko at the Administration of the Government of Georgia.
The chairman of the agency wished success to the newly appointed Ambassador and expressed hope that the opening of the Embassy of Austria in Georgia would be a good basis for strengthening a co-operation and friendship between the two countries.

The chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze met with Rene Levonyan the president of the Eurasian Regional Armenian Evangelical Church.
Rene Levonyan briefed the chairman about his visit to the Middle East, particularly in Syria, Iraq and Libya, as well as the scheduled visit to Kosovo. The guest interested in the issues of religious tolerance and freedom of religion in Georgia.
