Zaza Vashakmadze, the chairman of State Agency for Religious Issues and Charles Hoblitz and Kakhaber Chkhaidze the pastors of Tbilisi International Baptist Church visited the US "Liberty University". The chairman of the agency held an introductory meeting with the University's leadership: Natalia Loewe, William Vegert Min and Glen Steppe, where the Georgian flag was officially erected in honor of Georgia.
Liberty University is one of the largest Christian universities in the world, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, with 15,000 students at university campus and 94000 online courses students.
At the meeting Zaza Vashakmadze talked about the recent activities carried out by the agency and the Georgian State in the field of religion.
The university administration expressed their willingness to bilateral cooperation, in particular, to discuss future memorandums with Georgian universities and the Ministry of Education, about developing joint programs and starting up exchange programs. In the future, the Liberty University administration announced an initiative regarding student employment programs for the Georgian students.
