Representatives of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church celebrated the glorious resurrection of Christ in Akhaltsikhe. The Easter Liturgy at the Armenian Apostolic Church was led by Father Hirakoff Asakian.

Catholics living in Akhaltsikhe also celebrated the glorious resurrection of Christ. The holiday was celebrated in the Catholic Church of Savardi in the district of Rabat, in Akhaltsikhe. The solemn service was led by the priest Peter Strelko.

 Elvard Zazadze, the representative of the State Agency for Religious Issues in Samtskhe-Javakheti, attended the solemn service at the Armenian Orthodox Church of Surb Grigor Lusarovich in Akhaltsikhe and the Catholic Church of Savardi in Akhaltsikhe and on behalf of the Government of Georgia congratulated the parishioners on the holiday.
