Catholics in Batumi celebrate the glorious Resurrection of Christ. Today, on April 16, an Easter liturgy was held at the Latin Catholic Apostolic Church in Batumi, led by Priest Gabriele Bragantini.

The resurrection of Christ was also celebrated by the Armenians living in Batumi. On April 17, the Easter service was held at the Surb Prkich Armenian Apostolic Church in Batumi by the spiritual leader of the Armenians of Adjara, Father Ararat Gumbalyan.

On behalf of the Government of Georgia, the State Agency for Religious Issues, the coordinator of the Agency in Adjara, Abesalom Aslanidze, congratulated the parishioners and clergy gathered at the Batumi Latin Catholic Apostolic Church and the Surb Prkich Armenian Apostolic Church on the holiday.
