The Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze attended the Christmas liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which was led by Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II.

Christmas is an important celebration for Christians. On this day the Savior was born in a small cave in Bethlehem. The birth of Jesus Christ is the beginning of a new civilization, a new dependence towards the world. Believers celebrate Jesus' birth annually and thus again and again share the holiday of kindness and humanism.
