On the 16th of November, International Day of Tolerance is celebrated worldwide. Since 1995 this day has been celebrated at the initiative of UNESCO the aim of which was to raise public awareness on the threats of extremism and discrimination and to establish mutual respect and understanding.
Georgia is a tolerant country in terms of different religious communities. Our country’s tradition is based on peaceful coexistence and mutual recognition with each other which is very important for peaceful and democratic development.
The State Agency for Religious Issues congratulates all religious organizations of Georgia on International Day of Tolerance and wishes peace, love and kindness.
