Today, the Georgian Evangelical-Lutheran Church celebrates the glorious Resurrection of Christ. The solemn service at Tbilisi Reconciliation Church was led by Bishop Marcus Shokh.

On behalf of the Government of Georgia and the State Agency for Religious Issues, Nino Chavchavadze, Head of the Strategic Research, Analysis and Regional Service of the Agency congratulated the gathered parish and clergy on Easter.

The Easter event was attended by employees of the Strategic Research, Analysis and Regional Service of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Khatia Gabisonia, and Sergo Parulava.

Today, members of the Synod of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Georgia gathered to say goodbye to former Bishop Marcus Shock. After five years of service in Georgia, Marcus Shokh returns to the Württemberg Regional Evangelical Church in Germany, where he continues to serve as Bishop of the Reutlingen region. From now on, the Georgian Evangelical-Lutheran Church will be headed by Dr. Rolf Barais.
