This year’s Christmas was celebrated differently in the Evangelical Lutheran Church: under the Covid-19 Pandemic, despite the permission of the state, the church and parishioners took into account the world experience and abandoned the traditional overnight stay. This is what Zaza Vashakmadze, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, said in his speech, thanking the Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Markus Schoch and the parishioners for their outstanding civic responsibility. Zaza Vashakmadze congratulated the people gathered on the occasion of Christmas and wished them success on behalf of the Prime Minister of Georgia. The German Ambassador to Georgia, Hubert Knirsch, attended the solemn service.
