Today, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, the Deputy Chairman, Giorgi Ukleba and members of the Interreligious Council met with the Deputy Minister of Defense, Grigol Giorgadze.

The draft Defense Code was presented at the meeting, which was held in a consultative working format.

The members of the Interreligious Council: Georgian Apostolic Autocephalous Orthodox Church Jewish Union of Georgia, Evangelical-Lutheran Church, Evangelical-Protestant Church, Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, Evangelical Faith Church of Georgia, Apostolic Administration of the Caucasus, International Baptist Church of Tbilisi, representatives of the Union of Evangelical Christian Baptist Church of Georgia and independently the members of the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses expressed their views on the draft Code.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Agency thanked the Deputy Minister of Defense for the visit and the members of the Interreligious Council for their active participation in the discussion of the draft Defense Code.
