Today, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, congratulated the clergymen and parishioners, ambassadors of Islamic countries gathered in Tbilisi Jumah Mosque on Eid al-Fitr.
The head of the government emphasized the long-standing tradition of peaceful coexistence of people of different ethnic and religious affiliations in Georgia. According to him, the Muslim community of Georgia makes an important contribution to the reconstruction and development of the country.
The event in Tbilisi Juma Mosque was attended by the clergymen, Sheikh Ramin Igidov of the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia, Adam Shantadze, Mufti of West Georgia, Etibar Eminov, Mufti of East Georgia, diplomats and the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze.
Today, the entire Muslim world is celebrating one of the most important holidays of sacrifice – Eid-al-Adha.
