The Catholic Church today celebrate the greatest Christian holiday, the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is a celebration of the defeat of sins and spiritual upliftment, which is especially precious to all Christians.

The Easter liturgy held in the Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tbilisi was traditionally led by Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto.

On behalf of the Government of Georgia and the State Agency for Religious Issues, the Chairman of the Agency, Zaza Vashakmadze, congratulated the clergy and the parishioners gathered in the Catholic Church on the holiday.
