On September 27, the Georgian-Azerbaijani international conference on the topic: "The role of the state in interreligious dialogue" was held at the Biltmore Hotel.
The participants of the international conference were addressed by: Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mubariz Gurbanli, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliev, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Georgia on Human Rights Protection, Niko Tatulashvili, Rector of the Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze, First Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Administration, Mufti Salman Musaev, Davit Davitashvili, Head of the Legal Maintenance Office of the Agency, Ramin Igidov, Sheikh of the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia. The speakers talked about good neighborly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, the role of religion in the light of the challenges in the modern world, the need for interreligious dialogue and the role of the state in interreligious dialogue.
The second panel of the conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. The panelists talked about the role of the President of Azerbaijan in the formation of independent Azerbaijan. At the end of the conference, the second panel was summarized by Zaza Vashakmadze and Mubariz Gurbanli
