Today, on February 4, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia Zaza Vashakmadze, chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Georgia, Andrius Kalindra.
At the introductory meeting, the chairman of the Agency informed the Ambassador about the activities of the Agency, the implemented projects and, in general, the religious policy of the state of Georgia. Special attention was paid to the funding of religious organizations, the activities of the Interreligious Council and the annual, traditional conference "Interreligious Dialogue for Peace".
Andrew Kalindra thanked the head of the Agency and expressed his desire for cooperation. The Ambassador offered Vashakmadze to organize an exhibition in a joint effort, the format of which is to exhibit samples of their religious and cultural heritage in areas densely populated by religious minorities.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Kalindra invited the Chairman of the Agency to visit Lithuania.
