Within the frames of the visit to the Republic of Austria, the delegation of the State Agency for Religious Issues met with Head of the Integration Department of Fundamental Issues in the Federal Ministry of European Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria, Mr. Michael Girard.

The Chairman of the Agency thanked the host side for a warm welcome and reviewed the state's Religious policies and activities carried out by the Agency. He was interested in construction, financing, religious education, legislative acts in Austria, In the discussion of which the hosts introduced the Georgian delegation to the 50-point plan of integration in Austria, which includes migration and refugees and religious themes.

Mr. Girard stressed that the priority for them is the coexistence of ethnic and religious minorities and attaches great importance to intercultural and interreligious dialogue. the project “In parallel society”, will be completed in 2019. He reviewed religious education issues both in schools and in higher education institutions and noted that this direction is under the Austrian Ministry of Education.
