A working meeting of the interreligious council existent under the State Agency for Religious Issues was held at the Administration of Government of Georgia which was attended by the representative of the National Statistics Office of Georgia Zurab Kevanishvili. Zaza Vashakmadze the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues provided members of the religious organizations included in the interreligious council with information based on the results of the census and about two options of the project - “Religious Map of Georgia” - prepared by the Religious Policy Research Center of the Agency, first – based on regional data and second according to city and district data. The above mentioned map will be presented to public by the end of the current year.
The chairman introduced a new project – “Map of Cult Buildings in Georgia” –to the members of the interreligious council. At the meeting a number of interesting opinions were expressed by the members of the religious organizations about a form and content of the map. The council decided establishment of a working group which will prepare the date about the cult buildings of each religious organization.

- Georgian Union of Jews
- Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Georgia

The need of participation of the minority religious organizations active in Georgia in the process of preparation of the map was specially noted at the meeting.
