The delegation of the State Agency for Religions Issues held the last meeting with the Deputy Governor of Ispahan. The meeting was held in the Ispahan with Dr. Hamid Reza Tabatabe.
Zaza Vashakmadze introduced the host about the creation and operation of the Religious Agency, talked about the demographic and ethnic characteristics of the Muslim community of Georgia and about successful projects implemented by the state to the Muslim community.
Dr. Hamid thanked the delegation of the Agency for the visit and approved the steps taken by the State of Georgia towards the Muslim community and in general the protection of freedom of religion. He expressed his desire to hold a joint cultural week in the city of Ispahan and Tbilisi. Discussions also focused on tourism development, particularly active cooperation with tour operators in Georgia and opening their representations in Ispahan. The host Makharem voiced the initiative on the signing of the Memorandum on Future Cooperation between Tbilisi-Ispahani Mayors.
After the meeting, the delegation met with Georgian people from Fereidan in Ispahan and handed them to dozens of Georgian "Mother Language" books.
