The delegation of the Religious Agency met with the Metropolitan of Austria of the Constantinople Patriarchate and the Exarchos of Hungary and Central Europe, with its high priesthood, Arsenios.

The Chairman of the Agency, Zaza Vashakmadze, presented to the Archbishop warm greeting fro Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia and thanked for the support, expressed towards the Georgian Diaspora.

Metropolitan Arsenios briefly reviewed cooperation of the Orthodox churches in with Austria, as well as the Austrian legal regulations with concerning Orthodox Church, and noted that the special law of the Orthodox Christians that exists fo 50 years, He highly appreciated the existence of a government structure such as the State Agency for Religious Issues, which will promote fruitfull cooperation with the religions and the state. He also interested in issues of inter-religious council and inter-religious conferences.

The high priest of the Constantinople Patriarchate once again emphasized the respect of the canonical borders of the Georgian Orthodox Church, warmly recalled the Patriarch of Georgia and emphasized the centuries-old history and tradition of Christianity in Georgia.

At the end of the meeting, the Georgian delegation presented the Georgian Bible to the Archbishop Arsenius. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Austria, Giorgi Tabatadze.
