Within the frames of the visit to the Republic of Austria, the delegation of the State Agency for Religious Issues met with the newly elected president of the Islamic Union of Austria, Yume Voural. The visit of the Georgian delegation to the newly elected president was the first official meeting.

Chairman of Religious Agency congratulated the President of the election and wished him success in his future work, he reviewed the religious policy in Georgia, spoke about the state's developed funding and a cult-building transfer mechanism to Religious organizations, Zaza Vashakmadze provided the detailed information about the Muslim community of Georgia.

Yume Voural thanked the delegation of the Religious Agency for the visit, noted that he is a former lawyer and has recently been elected to this position for a term of five years.

The organization, led by Mr. Voural, is the largest Islamic organization in Austria, combining Sunni and Shia Islamic forms with 600,000 parishes, 450 mosques and a house of worship.

The Austrian Islamic Religion Union President noted that the Islamic Union supports the newly-established law regulation that Muslim clerics should be brought up at the Faculty of Islamic Theology at the University of Vienna; Consequently, he does not share the practice of training the clergy in other countries.

At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the State Agency for Religions Issues handed over the memorial to the Georgian Qur'an.
