The chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze met with The Senior Advisor of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Dava Katz and the representatives of this organization in Georgia Tamar Sirbiladze and Giorgi Khechinashvili at the Administration of the Government of Georgia.

At the meeting Zaza Vashakmadze informed the guests about the establishment and activities of the agency, Georgia’s religious, demographic and ethnic characteristics, state’s successful attitude towards religious minorities, in particular, regarding financing the confessions and transferring religious real estate. The also talked about the projects developed by the agency and the conferences and trainings held by the agency within the framework of the Human Rights Government Action Plan.

The guests thanked the chairman of the agency for the information received and expressed readiness for future cooperation.
