On the 11^th of May at the Administration of the Government of Georgia a commission sitting (Mokhe Commission), studying the circumstances regarding the building listed as a club in the village of Mokhe, Adigeni Municipality, was held.

The meeting was attended by the members of the commission: Zaza Vashakmadze, Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Akaki Machutadze, State Representative-Governor in Samtskhe-Javakheti region, Zakaria Endeladze, the governor of Adigeni Municipality, Beglar Kamashidze Mufti of Western Georgia, Adam Shantadze Deputy Mufti of Western Georgia, Mamuka Vashakmadze, Mufti of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, Otar Nadiradze, Head of the Public Relations Office at the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia, Metropolitan Theodore Chuadze of Akhaltsikhe and Tao-Klarjeti, Archpriest Michael Botkoveli, the Patriarch’s Secretary, Archimandrite Nikoloz Getsadze, the Head of Zarzma Monastery of Akhaltsikhe and Tao-Klarjeti Diocese, Nikoloz Antidze, Director General of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia, Davit Lomitashvili, Deputy General Director.

The members of the commission made a joint decision that says:

1. According to the decision of the commission, 01.12.2016, a piece of land in the village of Mokhe (cadastral code N61.01.21.252) was transferred under the ownership of the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia for constructing a mosque.
2. The so called “Mokhe Building” was listed into the cultural heritage sites (Order N 2/45, May 1, 2017) as a „Disputed Building”.
3. The “Disputed Building” will be transferred from the ownership of the Adigeni Municipality to the state ownership (Agency for State Property) for the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia.
4. Ask the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia to ensure a maintenance and preservation of the “Disputed Building”.
5. Ask the local authorities to assist the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia in the construction of a mosque in the village of Mokhe.
6. Ask the State Agency for Religious Issues to prepare recommendations and coordinate the implementation of the decision of the commission.

With regard to achieving the goal of the commission, cancel the commission studying the circumstances regarding the building listed as a club in the village of Mokhe, Adigeni Municipality.
