Christmas is celebrated in Adjara. Pastors Igor Chikalov and Beso Chikhladze led the solemn liturgy at Batumi Evangelical Faith Church. Absalom Aslanidze, Coordinator of the State Agency for Religious Issues in Adjara, greeted the parishioners and clergy on behalf of the Government of Georgia and wished them a Merry Christmas.

Then the coordinator of the Agency attended a solemn service in Batumi Holy Spirit Catholic Church, conducted by Father Gabriel Bagrantini. Abesalom Aslanidze congratulated the Catholics on Christmas on behalf of the Government of Georgia.

The coordinator of the Agency also wished a Merry Christmas to the parishioners gathered in the Protestant Church, where Genadi Malakmadze led the solemn service.
