Today, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the State Agency for Religious Issues hosted civil servants of the Special Penitentiary Service. The meeting was opened by the Head of the Strategic Research, Analysis and Regional Service of the Agency, Nino Chavchavadze.
The topic of “Secularism and Religious Neutrality” was spoken by the lawyer of the Legal Maintenance Office of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Aleksandre Shekiladze. “Religions in Georgia” - this was the topic of the lecture of the Senior Specialist of the Strategic Research, Analysis and Regional Service, Sergo Parulava.
At the end the participants of the training were awarded certificates.
Representatives of the Special Penitentiary Service, who were presented with the Bibles by the Agency, thanked the Agency’s staff for the interesting lectures.
The training was conducted within the framework of the “Georgian Action Plan for the Protection of Human Rights for 2024-2026”, with the aim of raising awareness about freedom of religion and belief and its guarantees.
The State Agency for Religious Issues continues the activities planned within the framework of the Government Action Plan for the Protection of Human Rights.
