At the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia, Ahmed Al Nuaimi.
Zaza Vashakmadze introduced the UAE Ambassador to religious policy of the State of Georgia and the activities of the State Agency for Religious Issues aimed at creating a tolerant environment in the country. The chairman also touched upon the issue of financing of confessions and transferring of religious buildings and the trainings carried out within the framework of the governmental human rights action plan. On the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates expressed his desire to celebrate this day with the Agency.
The guest thanked the chairman of the Agency for his warm reception and expressed his desire to actively cooperate with the Agency in the future.
It was an introductory meeting.
