Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mubariz Gurbanli, is visiting Tbilisi. Today Mr. Gurbanli met with the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Mr. Zaza Vashakmadze.

At the meeting, which was attended by the representatives of the counterpart organizations and the clergy, the aspects of cooperation between the two structures, the protection of religious rights of the Muslim community in Georgia and the Orthodox congregation in Azerbaijan and future perspectives were discussed.

On September 27, a joint Georgian-Azerbaijani international conference on the topic: "The Role of the State in Interreligious Dialogue" will be held at the Biltmore Hotel.
