The Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, and the Head of the Legal Maintenance Office, Davit Davitashvili, met with Alex Gerasimov, Chief Chaplain of the Sheriff of Atlanta city of the U.S. State of Georgia and Yaroslav Malko, the head of the "Patrol Chaplain" of the Ukrainian Law Enforcement Chaplain Service, the President of "Global Christian Support".
The meeting is a kind of continuation of the cooperation started in Tbilisi as Mr. Malko was in Tbilisi, Georgia last November and visited the Agency, where the Georgian-American cooperation in the direction of introduction and development of chaplain services in Georgia was initiated.
The meeting was held in a working format. Alex Gerasimov, Chief Chaplain of the Sheriff of Atlanta discussed specific cases from his own practice with the Agency's delegation. At the end of the meeting, the immense contribution and role of chaplains of law enforcement bodies in the public relations was emphasized and the following stages of cooperation were planned
