Today, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, Zaza Vashakmadze, Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, and Giorgi Ukleba, Deputy Chairman of the Agency met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, the First Secretary of the Embassy Anar Rasulov and the third Secretary Ramel Latifov. The meeting was also attended by the Bishop of Khornabuji and Hereti Dimitri (Kapanadze) and the head of St. George’s Church in Kakhi, Father Petre Khumarashvili.

At the meeting, the head of the Agency positively assessed his visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan and stressed that numerous meetings with the religious leader of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the representatives of the counterpart organization, the Parliament and Government and getting acquainted with the situation on spot was an interesting experience.

According to the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, the visit of the Georgian delegation is another confirmation of the strategic cooperation between the two neighboring and friendly countries.
