Today, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze hosted the delegation of the Republic of Turkey. The delegation included: Ali Kaan Orbai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Kazim Kartali, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, and Mahmut Goli Religious Attaché of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia.

Zaza Vashakmadze told the newly appointed religious attache about the religious policy of the State of Georgia and drew attention to the facts of violation of the religious rights of the citizens remaining in the occupied territories. According to the chairman, the Agency cooperates fruitfully with the Muslim community. He also positively assessed the cooperation with the former attache, Ahmed Erdem, and hoped that the similar relationship will continue.

Mahmut Goli, the religious attaché of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, thanked the chairman of the Agency for his warm reception and expressed his readiness for active cooperation with the Agency. At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey invited Zaza Vashakmadze for an official visit to Turkey.
