At a meeting held at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, briefed the Representative of the United Nations Children's Fund in Georgia, Isabella Castrogiovanni, about the activities of the Agency. The Chairman focused on the practice of cooperation with UNICEF in Georgia: in particular, on the events held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency and the Children's Fund: on the seminar “The Role of Clergy in Protecting the Rights of the Child” aiming at raising awareness among religious leaders and on the joint training "Freedom of Religion and the Best Interests of the Child", in which representatives of religious organizations registered in Georgia participated.

Isabella Castrogiovanni thanked the Chairman of the Agency for reception and expressed her desire for future cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects.

At the end of the meeting, Zaza Vashakmadze presented the guest with the Agency's publications - "Occupied Heritage", "Religions in Georgia", "Functioning Cult Buildings in Georgia as of 2023" and "Functioning Cult Buildings in Tbilisi as of 2020".
