Today, on the 26^th of August, the three-day working visit of the representatives of the State Agency for Religious Issues to the Republic of Azerbaijan began. The delegation includes: Zaza Vashakmadze, Chairman of the Agency, Giorgi Ukleba, Deputy Chairman and Gvantsa Tskhovrebadze, Protocol Manager.

The members of the delegation laid flowers at the monument to the prominent political figure and national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. The second President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, has made a special contribution to the strengthening of Georgian-Azerbaijani relations and the launch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, known as the "Project of the Century".

The delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan Zurab Pataradze, the Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan Revaz Sakvarelidze and the Ambassador's Adviser Giorgi Buachidze, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gunduz Ismailov and staff of the Committee.

The members of the delegation will meet with the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the leadership of a counterpart organization and the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
