On 17 January 2018, at 13.00 pm, the State Agency for Religious Affairs held a presentation of an inter-religious calendar printed in Braille.

The meeting was attended by: Chairman of Human Rights Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Sophio Kiladze, Deputy of Comittete Rati Ionatamishvili, Member of Parliament Dachi Beraia, Representative of Public Defender Irine Oboladze, Chairman of the Union of Blinds (GBU) Revaz Maisuradze, Members of the Union, Director of №202 Boarding School Khatuna Jalaghania and School teachers.

          The main purpose of the presentation is to increase public sensitivity towards blind people and to promote maximum involvement of people with disabilities in our society.

The presentation was opened by Zaza Vashakmadze, chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, who said that the Agency for Religions has been issuing an inter-religious calendar for the fourth year. In 2018 a new format has been added - the integrated calendar is printed on braille fonts and designed for blind people. The Agency of Religions recognizes social responsibility for persons with disabilities in a new format of inter-religious calendar.

           Representatives of the State Agency for Religious Issues presented inter-religious calendars printed with Braille letters to members of the Union of Blinds (GBU) and to representatives of № 202 Public-Boarding School.

It should be noted that the inter-religious calendar Braille font was added this year and it will be published annually in the future.
