At the Conference Hall of the Hotel Ambassadori a hearing of the report 2016 of the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia was held.

The event was attended by Muslim clerics, chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze, representatives of the embassies of Muslim countries and public figures.

At the presentation of the report the speakers provided thorough information to the audience on the activities of the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia fulfilled in 2016. The State’s promotion to the activities of the Muslim community was emphasized.

Zaza Vashakmadze positively assessed one-year activity of the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia and noted that Muslim Community in Georgia in terms of number of adherents is the second and therefore the government’s attention towards them is relevant. According to him a close cooperation between the State Agency for Religious Issues and the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia will continue in future as well – the state will always support the development of traditional Islam in Georgia and won’t allow the spread and establishment of radical ideology.
