Christmas was celebrated by the Catholic parish of Samtskhe-Javakheti. The solemn liturgy was led by the priest Oleg Boitekhovich at the Rabat Catholic Church in Akhaltsikhe.

On behalf of the Government of Georgia, the coordinator of the State Agency for Religious Issues in Samtskhe-Javakheti, Elvard Zazadze, congratulated the parishioners gathered at the church on Christmas.
