The delegation was headed by Zaza Vashakmadze, Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues.

The delegation included: Vladimer Macharashvili, Head of the Legal Maintenance Office of the Agency; Metropolitan Theodore (Chuadze) of Akhaltsikhe and Tao-Klarjeti, Chorepiscopos of the Catholicos-Patriarch, and representatives of the Patriarchate; Sozar Subari, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament; Zurab Kadagidze, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration;  Guram Macharashvili, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Group "People's Power”; Adam Shantadze, Mufti of Western Georgia; Etibar Eminov, Mufti of Eastern Georgia; Sheikh Faig Nabiev; Oktai Isaev, Secretary of the Administration of Muslims of All Georgia; and Levan Ioseliani, Public Defender of Georgia.

A meeting between the Georgian delegation and Gunduz Ismailov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the representatives of the Committee was held at the State Committee in Baku. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Georgian Embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of the traditional brotherly and good-neighborly relations between the two strategic partner countries, as well as the cooperation between the State Agency for Religious Issues of Georgia and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The parties expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation and to hold more frequent exchange visits.
