The President presented the Pope with a book "Occupied Heritage" published in Georgian-English by the State Agency for Religious Issues, the presentation of which is scheduled to be held in the near future. This is an album which, for the first time in the history of independent Georgia, fully reflects the historical and cultural monuments of the Orthodox Church and religious minorities existed in the occupied territories of Georgia, the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region and their deplorable condition (archival and new photos are used in the album).
