Today, the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues congratulated the Catholic Christians of Georgia on Christmas. Zaza Vashakmadze attended morning service at Tbilisi St. Peter and Paul Temple. The Ambassador of the Holy See to Georgia, Jose Avelino Bettencourt, thanked the Government of Georgia and the Agency for their appreciation and hoped that the pandemic would end soon and that the two countries and the two churches would cooperate closely together in the future. He also thanked the Agency and the Government for organizing the high-level visit of Cardinal Parolin.
