The Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze congratulated the Muslim parish gathered at Tbilisi Jumah Mosque on Eid al-Adha. The event was attended by the Mufts of West and East Georgia, Sheikh of Georgia, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze, the deputies of the Parliament of Georgia and the Ambassadors of the Muslim countries.
The Prime Minister in his speech emphasized the historic peaceful coexistence and activities of the Muslim community in Georgia. He thanked the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia for active involvement in the social life of the country.
Zaza Vashakmadze talked about the significance of this holiday. According to him a model of Islam in Georgia is unique that the modern world can follow.
