The British missionary is in Tbilisi at the invitation of the Evangelical Faith Church of Georgia. The meeting was attended by the pastor of the Evangelical Faith Church of Georgia, Guram Imerlishvili.

The Chairman of the Agency introduced the guest to the main directions of the religious policy of the state of Georgia and told about the activities of the Agency. The interest of the guest was aroused by the activities of the inter-religious council. According to Zaza Vashakmadze, Georgia is a historically tolerant country, where representatives of different denominations live side by side amicably. David Hathaway thanked the Chairman of the Agency for the information provided and expressed his desire to interact with the Agency.

The British pastor was the first to travel from Britain to newly created Israel, leaving behind the Iron Curtain, and passing through the Middle East, after which he set up a travel company and he himself took the pilgrims to the Holy Land. In response to the oppression of Christians in the countries of the communist regime, he smuggled thousands of copies of theological literature into the native languages ​​of the addressee countries. For this he was arrested several times, even sentenced to imprisonment, he fought for the release of religious leaders from prison. He preached the gospel intensively in the big and small cities of the former socialist camp of the USSR, in ten time zones, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, then Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Armenia and Georgia. Many miracles have been attributed to Hathaway, and it is said that he .changed the lives of many people forever.

            He still works in the former Soviet countries, in Europe and Britain supervises a project that helps Russian-speaking Jews living in Israel spiritually and materially.
