Today, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, met with the members of the Union of Christian Baptist Churches of Georgia and the new leadership of the German international charity organization "FriedensBote". The Agency was visited by: the head of the "FriedensBote" organization, Alexander Willer, the financial director, Alexander Jantsen and the member of the board of the organization, Pierre Vaubaillon, the chairman of the Union of Christian Baptist Churches of Georgia, Bishop Gia Kandelaki, the head of the "FriedensBote" mission in Georgia, the elder Levan Akhalmosulishvili and Tariel Papinashvili, the Executive Secretary of the Union of Christian Baptist Churches.

The chairman of the Agency, Zaza Vashakmadze, thanked the guests for coming and introduced the activities of the Agency. The chairman particularly noted the fruitful and active cooperation of the Union of Christian Baptist Churches of Georgia with the Agency and thanked the mission "FriedensBote" for its charity actions and cooperation.

According to the head of the "FridensBote" mission, it is planned to increase the humanitarian aid for the socially vulnerable population by 20%, including those displaced from A/R of Abkhazia and Samachablo. According to him, Georgia is the first country with which the mission resumed cooperation after the pandemic, and this visit showed more clearly the needs of the population. The new leadership of the mission also expressed gratitude to the State of Georgia and the State Agency for Religious Issues for protecting the rights of Baptists and expressed readiness for future cooperation.
