At the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze met with the representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran - Ayatollah Dibaji, Ayatollah Garavi and Abdulrahim Forutani.

Zaza Vashakmadze briefed the guest about the projects implemented by the Agency and drew attention to the activities of the Interreligious Council.

Ayatollah Dibaji expressed his satisfaction over his visit to Georgia, thanked the chairman of the Agency for meeting him during the holidays and gave a greeting from Ayatollah Shahristan. According to him, he has 50 years of experience of participating in interreligious dialogues and conferences in Madrid, Rome, the Vatican, as well as in events organized with the involvement of the Pope and expressed his desire to share his experience: "It's a dangerous time for young people, if we don't start cooperating with them and taking care of them, we will lose them or Daesh will take them from us. We should offer new and interesting projects to the next generation, we must have a strategy and act jointly, define what our goal is," he said and expressed his gratitude for the tolerant religious environment in Georgia, the religious policy of the state. Ayatollah Dibaji invited the chairman of the Agency to Iran.

The meeting was attended by the Sheikh of Georgia Faig Nabiev and the representative of the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia Rakhid Kerimov.
