Today, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia, the chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Iran to Georgia, Mahmud Adibi. The meeting was introductory. The chairman of the Agency introduced the religious policy of the state of Georgia, the activities of the state agency for religious issues and implemented projects to the Ambassador. In particular, Zaza Vashakmadze spoke about the financing of religious organizations, the trainings implemented within the governmental action plan for human rights, the Inter-religious Council, the transfer of religious buildings, the current situation in the direction of freedom of religion and other issues. The Ambassador of Iran in Georgia thanked the Agency for reception and expressed his readiness to promote the cooperation between the two countries as much as possible. At the end, Zaza Vashakmadze congratulated the guest on his appointment and expressed hope that the cooperation would be successful and further strengthen the friendship between the two countries. The meeting was attended by the third secretary of the Embassy, Seyed Mojtaba Mousavi, and the adviser on cultural issues, Ahmad Ali Mehri Ardestan, the head of the Strategic Research, Analysis and Regional Service of the Agency, Nino Chavchavadze, the analyst Zviad Tkabladze, and the protocol manager, Natia Gudadze.
