Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues, Zaza Vashakmadze met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan.
The participants of the meeting discussed the possibility of signing a memorandum between the State Agency for Religious Issues and the relevant Agency of the Republic of Armenia in the context of the agreement on strategic cooperation signed between Georgia and Armenia this year. According to the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, this will further deepen and make the relationship between the two agencies more fruitful.
Zaza Vashakmadze and Ashot Smbatyan also discussed the registration of the Georgian Orthodox Church on the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
