On the 6th of January, the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church celebrates the Nativity and Epiphany of Jesus Christ together. Christmas is the greatest Christian holiday that changed the world. According to the New Testament, the Epiphany of the Lord is connected with the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.
Religious service, which took place at Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi, was led by the Bishop Kirakos Davtyan of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Georgia. According to tradition, blessing of water service was offered.
Chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze and the Agency staff visited the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church to congratulate the holiday.
