The chairman of the State Agency for Religious Issues Zaza Vashakmadze visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Marking the 100th anniversary of the restoration of autocephaly of the Georgian Orthodox Church the chairman of the agency delivered a public lecture at the university. The topic of the lecture was religious policy existing in Georgia, and the state of religious confessions and minorities. Zaza Vashakmadze also spoke about the projects and programs fulfilled by the state during the last three years as well as about financing confessions, protecting their rights and the activities of the property and financial commission. The lecture had been proceeding in question and answer format.
